Foundations and Experience

For over 20 years, Jeremiah has worked to develop technologies and methods for biomedical research, on the way to meaningful outcomes. As part of this passion, he has worked to understand and implement bioanalysis workflows across a wide array of instrument platforms and disease types. The progressive edge for applied sciences lives in the merging of ideas and technologies across different platforms.

Over the years, Jeremiah has worked to help develop what can be generalized as modern LCMS based OMICS workflows and technologies. The amount of high-quality disease research results that can be generated with modern LCMS OMICS Workflows has been transformative for the biomedical research community. Jeremiah is grateful to have collaboratively worked through challenges, contributing to the bioanalytical workflows during the early years of the technologies. Nature doesn't reveal her answers easily.

As part of this research, Jeremiah has worked on several diseases, with early mapping of the "molecular mechanism" for diseases such as Diabetes, General Metabolic Diseases, and Tropical Diseases - to name a few. He also developed a Fit for Purpose Assays to monitor epigenetic marks for diseases such as Glioblastoma and Melanoma. Over the years, he has developed assays for small molecule panels, metabolomics, proteomics, and intact protein sample types.

He has also worked to understand the nature of 'systems biology', while keeping a quality mindset.

After developing a sound technical background with LCMS based bioanalysis for biomedical research, Jeremiah turned his focus to the Business of Science. After completing post docs at the National High Magnetic Field Lab and Northwestern University, Jeremiah directed the Proteomics and MS Core Facility at the University of South Florida, Tampa. He tripled the number of users by presenting the powerful results obtained with proper processes and quality data collection with LC MS workflows.

To continue his development, he decided to join SCIEX, earning a position as their Market Development Manager for the Southeast. He developed information and presentations on Advanced LCMS Workflow Solutions for the Pharma, BioPharma, Applied, and Academic Markets. In this role, he worked to collect VOC, always working on behalf of the customer, while developing strategies with other team members. During this time, he also continued to consult with customers on the full workflow. He has also worked with Bruker as a Business Development Specialist in 12 states for the Proteomics Markets - improving visibility for what can be considered the second generation of proteomics workflows - now able to detect 3000 proteins from a single cell.

A Move to Grow His own Company and Brand

Jeremiah has strategically moved through different segments and positions in the industry, to create a certain type of understanding for the Business of Science, on top of a technical aptitude. His passions are guided towards improving human health - Applied Omics & Life Sciences LLC is designed to provide a framework for delivery of both technical and business solutions, while always working to address human health.

It is the synergy between allied technologies, workflows, and processes that create the next generation of solutions for detection and treatment of diseases. And possibly, a move towards preventative medicine concepts with the same tests, repurposed for wellness, not purely focused on disease.

With this mentality, as related to general bioanalytical testing, it's not just the individual technologies that bring quality solutions, it is how technologies are brought together though partnership and collaboration. His goal is the development and integration of technologies for the next generation of  biomedical research needs.
